versus Cliff Woods
1-2
Despite the loss one of the greatest team efforts by Cuxton. Struggling to get a team together Mr Rob Rose had to play through injury again, and despite starting with 11, after ten minutes Cuxton found themselves down to ten with and injury, resulting an unfair advantage through the rest of the game. However Cuxton never gave up and after Cliff Woods scored with once again a ball over the top, the response was a smart move with the ever creative Acott finding Rose in the box who shot low across the keeper scoring a good goal off both the posts.
Woods went ahead again with a slide through ball on the ground but Cuxton never stopped battling creating good chances in and around the box, unlucky not the score again. Good performances from all in particular Watson in the middle. But my man of the Match, The Flexmister, whose desicive taclkes and dominace in the air was superb.

No score at half time. But chances for both teams.Stockberry had a couple flashed across goal but Cuxton missed the easier. A one on one put wide and few other half chances not taken meant a 0-0 half time score. Acott dropped off well upfront putting through some delightfull through balls. Second half saw 2 balls over the top finish the game off as Stockberry turned out deserved winners.

All things considering a good result. Once again it was a struggle to get a team for this game, due to the saturdy fixture. Jethro made his full team debut at right back, and 72 year old veteran played the whole game centre mid. Acot and Rose played through injury upfront, and Mr Femi made a breif come back appearance upfront. Despite struggling in the first half Cuxton went into a 3 nill lead courtesy of goals from Acot, Pennel/Jebb, and Rose. Some slack goal keeping saw us struggle through the second half with an injured keeper. Bailey scored 2 superb goals and improved on his last performance.
The game was good for certain points. Jethro playing well at right back. Worby continuing to improve and Bailey improving too. Flex adapting to centre back and Jebb getting a good run on the right.

versus Finsberry
3-3
A fair result on the day. Both teams battled hard and never gave up in difficult conditions. Within the first 10 minute cuxton had already created a few good chances, with Watson going close after cutting inside and firing one off the crossbar and then bailey following up missing from the 6 yard box. Both teams began to carve out chance with Finsberry missing a fair few one on ones, and winning alot of corners. Never the less, half time at nill nill and all to play for. Casey supplied a superb ball through to Mead for fired home from just inside the box Finsberry never gave up and were soon back in the game with a well taken goal from a corner. They troubled us all game from their corners, and we often conceeded silly corners when throw ins were options. It wasnt long before a good move involving Watson with a good ball over the top found Casey, who delightfully lobbed the keeper from about 30yards out. Superb display from casey, who pumped cross after cross into the box, set up a goal and went on to score. Unfortunately Casey later came off for Jebb who got stuck in as soon as he was on. Again Finsberry never gave up and from a silly free kick (obstruction from a throw in/bailey), scored another getting them back in at 2 -2. Bailey however did make up for his earlier mistake, when Jebb combined well with Acott, who crossed in a hard ball across the box, and allowed Bailey to tap in from 6 yards. Well done. Bailey had made good forward runs the whole game and finally it had paid off. The game was not finished though. A late scramble in he box where we failed to clear scrambling around in the mud led to a toe punt flying into the top corner, 3 - 3.
We did have other chances through the match, notibly Mead with a one on one from a cross, and i dont know how their keeper saved it, but he did. Mead And Accot linked up well, and again battled superbly considering that they often did not recieve the ball to their feet. The muddy conditions, did make passing and defending very difficult. Andy Rose filled in well at centreback, and marked well, and watson once again set the tempo of the game. But for me. Casey was superb while he was on the pitch. He battled hard, Linked up well, set up a goal and scored too. Well done. 1 win, 2 draws and a loss in the last 4 games is alot beter Cuxton. Well done chaps.

What a game! Truely unbelievable. The whole saturday right through to the next morning we were constantly on the phone trying to get a team together. Players were dropping like flies, with injuries, illness and other issues. We finally managed to scrap a team together having to play two players who could hardly walk (R Rose, and Maynard) with our 72 year old coach as our only sub! Lucky for us Kemsley had the same problem starting the game with 9 and playing the most of it with 10. We new that the game given our current predicament would be tough as Kemsley are running away with the division this season. Things got even worse before the match when our giant keeper failed to turn up.
The game started with us conceding vertually straight away, but from then on we totally took control. Watson was a steam train in the midfield winning everything in the air for the whole game. Flecki, starting for the first time as a fill in centre back probably played the game of his life. Definately the best ive seen him play this season. And upfront, Acott and Mead were a constant threat. They chased every ball, and never gave up causing the oppossing defence to panic plenty of times during the game, something which we have not done all season. They were both awesome. Our first goal came curtesy of a corner. This was our first and we had looked dangerous from all. An inswinger nearly went in straight from the corner but the keeper saved on the line, leaving Accot to dash in and finish, 1 -1 !.
A chance for another came when Accot a constant threat was taken down in the box. Watson stepped up only for the keeper to save with his legs. Not to worry, some good link up play half way through the second half saw Maynard lay off a ball to Mead in the box, and mead slide a ball in passed the keeper,2-1!
Kemsley who never gave up, pushed every one up front in a quest for a goal, even thier keeper at times. Accot again came close from the half way line with a stunning shot, but the injured R Rose, made sure of the points again catching the keeper out of his goal from the half way line, with a delightfull lob. Lets not forget a superb display from Mr young between the sticks who kept us in the game under all the pressure pulling off save after save after save. A Rose also did some superb last ditch tackling.
Well done lads, What a game!

Cuxton started brighlty in terrible conditions. With a terrible waterlogged pitch, standing up let alone running became very difficult. The first goal came curtesy of a 3 pass move. Jonan intercepted the ball in midfield, playing a delightfull through ball to Accott who unselfishly passed across the goal to Richard to smash into the back of the net. Cuxton played a superb line in the first half catching players offside on numerous occasions. The conditions made defending very difficult, and with a midfield sitting soo deep with their defence the ball was often invited onto the Cuxton defence. Quick nippy strikers often already running caused allsorts of probelms for our centre backs who struggled to cope with the quick turning and sprinting in the muddy conditions. Resulting in two goals straight through the middle. Richard got cuxton back into the game with a second well taken in the box, but cuxton conceded late on in the second half, when again a player turned and ran straight through the middle. Cuxton did have other chances but selfish play from the striker lead to alot of chances being lost.

Cuxton changed the system and personal, and played alot beter than last week. Players linked up well and held their positions in the first half stringing together some good moves. Scoring was opened when Casey took a deep free kick and placed a beautifull ball onto the head of badman Badham (Ian) who rose like a fish out of water to power a thunderbolt header into the corner past the keeper. Superb! Going into the break with a one nill lead and our keeper having not much to do (partly to do with his speed off his line). The second half was a little unorganised with players tiring and not talking as much as they did in the first half, leading to alot of balls penetrating down the flanks. Lions scored from a curled shot into the corner which our keeper could not hold onto. Again unorganised play lead to a break fdown our right and a second goal being scored. However cuxton didnt give up, getting a last minute equaliser courtesty to a superb corner by jonan and an exellent finish by Watson, with a volley smashed into the back of the net. Well done Cuxton!

The game started well with Cuxton dominating through the middle. The defensive unit had little to do with keeper Dave not having much to do. Despite our possession football, we rarely troubled their back line with Mead working hard up front by himself. Some great play from Maynard down the right saw some good crosses being delivered in the box, however the midfield failed to support the hard working Mead in the middle often leaving the opposition box empty. Goal number one saw a mix up in the box with two players going for the same ball in the box, leading to a volleyed goal pass the keeper. Goal number two came in the second half when a ball through the middle saw the striker round the keeper and slot home.
Unfortunately the game was marred by a 22 man brawl which saw star man Ayling receiving a red and the opposing player for recieving red, after handbags. Kasey came close with a goal from a free kick with the keeper saving, and Maynard linked up well with his midfield.

We started the game really well, passing and moving and battling well. A bailey flick on set up Dale with a cool finish lifted over the advancing keeper. Then we fell to peices. Abandoning our slick passing we reverted back to route one shit football. Even with time to look up and pick a pass we gave possession away. A scrabble from a corner lead to the equalizer hit through a crowd and through the keepers legs. Before half time the second followed. The centre back calling out his keeper, who never made it and thus goal number two. The second half was a total shambles from our perspective, giving the ball away far to cheaply many times. Goal number 3 came courtesy of some poor play down the right, where possession was lost and a swift counter switch the play with a cross which was delightfully volleyed in from 20 yard by their right winger. A change of system saw us pile on some sort of pressure, and a resulting corner saw Watson power in with his head from 1 yard. The Eagles then went straight down the other end and scored from and indirect free kick and bad maring in the six yard box. WAtson had a chance for another when Boreham produced a delightfull cross from the right but sew his header go well wide.
All in all a strory of a team that started well, but slowly went back to their all so often used direct long ball stlye. A poor result on the dayu with a good team fielded.

As usual cuxton started poorly. Within the first ten minutes we found ourselves a goal down. A ball straight down the middle left Boreham with little chance as Rainham's striker ran through and slotted low in the corner.
Though our passing was still not as crisp as it was a few games ago, cuxton battled well for the ball and virtually won every ball in the middle with Flex, Kasey and Badman Badham starting strongly. Midway through the half, Rainham scored another goal from a controversial refereeing decision. Though the linesman flagged for offside the ref allowed the goal stating that the linesman was not in line with the offside player, and therefore allowed the goal. The ref blew numerous times for fouls booking a player from each team in the first half, despite it being a relatively clean game.
Before the half time whistle an unfortunate goal keeping error lead to a third goal for Rainham, where Boreham palmed into his own net. Over all Boreham pulled off some stunning saves to keep Cuxton's chances alive, but also was very quick off his line and did not stop talking to his team. Man of the match for the Cuxton keeper. The second half again saw the referee at the centre of play sending off a Rainham player for handball in the box, and awarding a penalty. Watson smashed the ball high into the net,. Cuxton then chucked players forward trying the make the best of the 10 man advantage., though Rainham defended really well. Maynard was hacked in the box and unlucky not to get another penalty, and Watson again came close with a bullet header from a Kasey corner pulling off a stunning save from the Rainham keeper. Badham also had a shot creep just wide.
Unlucky Cuxton. Things are getting better and we gave Rainham a real run for their money. Have a nice Christmas and lets get it right next year!

What happened boys?
We played so well last week. Thinking we were going to carry on where we left off I truly believed we would grind out a result today. Yes we had players playing out of position. Again Andy Rose helped out in goal and Ben at right back. We actually started fairly well in terms of fighting for the ball. However in terms of use of the ball unlike last week we failed to come and collect the ball, or if we did, we failed to support one another. Once the ball was won, there were very little options for one another to use. As a team through the whole game, we were very quiet. I don’t know why, because we all can be very vocal when we want to, but when it comes to a match we don’t talk enough. Today it was very quiet on the field. For a while in the first half we keep the chances to a minimum but failed to support one another with the one twos we did last week when we won the ball. Despite this we went in at half time 3 goals down. The second half was very similar to the first. It was not until the other team changed their system to a 3 – 4 – 3 did we really start to exploit them down the flanks like we did last week. Bailey got himself in some good crossing positions and Maynard created our goal from a shot from the left which was heading into the back of their net by their centre back. Maynard also came close with a one on one late on and Morgan also had a good chance from a one on one. The only positives were Brad’s excellent performance at the back and Grants good performance in the midfield, which the opposing manager also commented on. The lesson, come and get the ball and support one another more when we have it. Lets try working on our communication too.

Never in the history of cuxton autos have we dominated a game and failed to take our chances. cuxton created from the off, forcing chances from corners, crosses and exellent one two passing. Adopting a new system for this game midfield domination was achieved, one of few times for cuxton this year. unfortunately cuxton were unable to take there chances missing one on ones in and around the 6 yard box, and various shots inside the box. The other team were more deadly in their finishing taking all their chances and still managing to hit the post twice. cuxton saw a particularly good performance form Richard Jebb who not only crossed, got him self in good goal scoring positions, but also tracked and passed effectively. he brough others into the game and battle hard both in the air and on the ground. Even though a defeat , plenty of positives from cuxton from this game.
